PURPLE & PINE was tasked with creating a recruitment flyer for a new antidepressant drug, and we understood the sensitivity of the topic. To create a meaningful and respectful design, we chose an illustration of a person standing in the rain. This imagery reflects the way that people with depression often feel, as though they are standing in a never-ending rain. It's important to approach sensitive topics with empathy and care, and we believe that our design achieves this by avoiding stigmatizing language or imagery.
Depression is a mental disorder that severely affects your daily life, the way you feel, think, sleep, eat or work. <span style="color:#ED6A70">Everyone can suffer from depression regardless of age, race, income, culture, or education.</span> It is estimated that globally 5% of the adult population suffers from depression. Despite this large number mental health disorders are still stigmatized.
